API Q2 Auditing Series Courses
API Fundamentals of Auditing – 2 days
API Lead Auditing – 3 days
This API auditor certification is the highest recognized auditor certification within the petroleum, oil and gas industry. Therefore, API does not accept other internal or external auditor training as a substitution.
Learn how to conduct effective audits and lead an audit team. This three-day course is an add on to the three-day Fundamentals of Auditing course. By attending the third day, you will be given additional information on leading an audit team as well as the additional auditing processes that are unique to the API program. Upon successful completion of this course, you will know how to:
Apply the principles, procedures and techniques of planning and conducting effective audits;
Manage the audit process from planning to reporting to closing out
Lead and direct an audit team from assigning audit tasks, communicating with team members, coordinating the audit to taking responsibility of the audit output (report and nonconformities);
Demonstrate personal attributes and skills expected from lead auditors, including handling conflicts within the audit team;
API Specification Q2
API Spec Q2 Fundamentals – 3 days
API Spec Q2 Practitioner – 4 days
This is an industry-written specification applies to critical activities such as well construction, intervention, production, abandonment, well servicing, equipment repair and maintenance, and inspection activities. API Spec. Q2 was developed to address quality management systems for the service supply organizations for the upstream petroleum and natural gas industries.
API Q2 is much more than a quality management system standard, it is a process driven risk based management system standard that takes a systematic approach to identifying and controlling risk(s) associated with hazards, lack of controls, inefficiencies, lack of proper planning and execution. Compliant service supply organizations will boast superior quality management systems that control all operational processes, provide consistent results, manage change effectively, continually improve, reduce operational downtime, and increase customer satisfaction.
